5G Christmas Poems

Class: Class 5G Year: 2022 - 2023

In our English lessons this week, Year 5 explored a variety of Christmas poems such as 'Jabberwocky' by Lewis Carroll and 'Nothingmas Day' by Adrian Mitchell. We then used Drama Engagment and Active Learning (DEAL) to help us develop our inspiration for the theme and atmosphere of our own Christmas poems. We explored how rhyme, rhythm and calligrams contribute towards an effective poem. Here are some videos of our poems being performed.
