SEND/ Inclusion

SENDCOs/ CLA Designated Teachers : Miss Gibson and Miss Appleby

We are committed to creating an inclusive school community where every child is valued, respected and supported to thrive. We recognise that every pupil is unique and are dedicated to identifying and responding to individual needs so that all children can participate fully in school life. We work in partnership with pupils, parents/carers and external professionals to provide the right support at the right time, promoting independence, confidence and wellbeing alongside personal development. Through our inclusive ethos, we strive to remove barriers to participation, celebrate diversity and ensure that all pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), feel safe, included and able to achieve their full potential within all aspects of school life.

Outcomes Framework

At Great Moor Junior School, we want all children to be happy, prepared for adulthood and able to achieve their goals. We also want families to feel supported, confident, resilient and connected to their community. The outcomes are set out in the Outcomes Framework, launched in November 2020 and the agreed statements are:

  • I feel safe

  • I feel part of my local community

  • My voice is heard and acted upon

  • I enjoy good health and well-being

  • I am happy and have people I can trust

  • I am confident and able to reach my goals

  • The people who love and care for me are enabled to do this
