In Year 3 we have three classes - 3B, 3G and 3A. The teachers are Mr Brading in 3B, Mr Garnett in 3G and Miss Appleby in 3A. On our team we also have - Miss Doogan, Mrs Ogden, Miss Day and Miss Bennett.

On our web page you will find lots of resources to help you with your work, fun games to play, copies of letters, class information and pictures of things we have been doing recently.

We will update this section with images, videos and other useful tools linked to what we have been covering in the classroom.

In addition to the set homework, pupils should also be reading every evening, practising times tables (using TT Rockstars) and working on their English and Maths targets. Mr Brading

Welcome to 3B!

My name is Mr Brading and this is my second year teaching at Great Moor Junior School. I have previously taught in Manchester schools and I am looking forward to working with the fantastic Year 3 team.

I will be supported by Miss Bennett in class and Miss Doogan will be supporting the whole of Year 3.

I am the year group leader and also the Science Coordinator for the school. I enjoy teaching science and really love the practical experiments!

I enjoy reading and my favourite books are the Lord of the Rings trilogy by JRR Tolkien and the Discworld novels by Terry Pratchett.

Welcome to 3G!

I am Mr Garnett and I will be the class teacher for 3G. I am looking forward to teaching Year 3 again at Great Moor and working with our fantastic team.

For the 2023/24 academic year, 3G will be support by Mrs Ogden.

Outside school, you would most probably see me with my family, on the tennis court or in Wales. I am a Harry Potter superfan and you may be able to spot some Harry Potter things around the classroom.

I will be continuing as the PE coordinator alongisde Mr Gill and will be assisting Mr Turner with Maths.

Miss Appleby

Welcome to class 3A!

I am Miss Appleby and I am really looking forward to teaching Year 3 again at Great Moor Junior School. Miss Day will be working alongside me as my Teaching Assistant and we both look forward to teach and support the children in a happy and inclusive environment. In Year 3, we have an exciting curriculum with plenty of oppurtunities to make memorable experiences throughout the year.
