Latest News: Pupils arriving at school for 8:45am each day can really Make A Difference. During this M.A.D time pupils are guided in self reviewing their work from the day before or completing a variety of activities which may be the foundation for activities undertaken later on in the day. We would be very grateful if pupils could arrive in class at 8:45am to allow them to make the most of this time.

Communications Between Home and School

We pride ourselves on continually improving our communication channels with parents.  We send out regular newsletters ‘School Matters’ to keep parents fully informed about what is going on in school.  As far as possible letters are always sent out on Fridays.  We encourage everyone to make good use of homework diaries for sending messages.  Pupils may also buy a book bag to place everything in to take to and from school.

We run occasional workshops for parents and hold information evenings.  We send information home about the curriculum and provide displays to let parents know about school events.  We regularly survey parents’ views on a range of school matters and we are always open to ideas and suggestions.

Parents are asked to ensure we are kept up to date with any changes in home circumstances, parents’ phone numbers, medical information etc.  We do an annual audit to make sure our records are up to date.

We utilise a whole school texting system to alert parents of any urgent matters and provide a reminder about various school events.
