School Council

The School Council is made up of and run by two pupil representatives from each class along with Miss Higson and representatives from the staff and the Governing Body.  

The council meet regularly to discuss a range of school issues, with councillors bringing up matters raised by their classmates and reporting back to their classes. This year, our main aim is to continue fundraising for the school and charities which the children have chosen. We have started this by planning a Halloween disco after school and by hosting a Macmillan Coffee Afternoon. We also hope to continue to work towards the Eco Schools Green Flag Award. The Eco-Schools programme is an ideal way for schools to embark on a meaningful path towards improving the environment in both the school and the local community while at the same time having a life-long positive impact on the lives of young people and their families. The council will be responsible for leading these initiatives and educating their peers as we go along.
